The 26-year-old blueliner has been locked in longer than the last week, though — over the last 15 games, he’s racked up three goals and 19 points. Even after missing most of November with a lower-body injury, Fox could produce his third straight season with 70-plus points if he can stay on the ice, as he has 45 in 45 games.

Fox was instrumental in the Rangers‘ offensive outburst, picking up three assists in New York’s four-goal second period before adding a season-high fourth point with another helper in the final frame. The puck-moving defenseman has racked up seven goals and 20 assists in 23 games away from the Big Apple this season compared to one goal and 11 helpers at home. Still, he remains a set-and-forget fantasy option.

Fox, who has been on long-term injured reserve with a lower-body injury, is expected to return Wednesday versus Detroit without any restrictions on his playing time, coach Peter Laviolette told Colin Stephenson of Newsday .

Fox has three goals and 11 points in 10 contests this season. He hasn’t played since Nov. 2, so he might need a game or two to get back to full speed, but based on Laviolette’s comments, Fox should be expected to assume his regular roles on the top pairing and first power-play unit. Zac Jones, who has played in the Rangers‘ last 10 games, is projected to serve as a healthy scratch Wednesday.

Fox (lower body) was a full participant at Monday’s practice and appears to be on track to return once he’s eligible to be activated off long-term injured reserve Wednesday versus Detroit, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.

Fox will miss a 10th straight game Monday versus Buffalo, but he should be ready to return to his featured role skating on the top pairing and first power-play unit against the Red Wings on Wednesday. The 25-year-old American has racked up three goals and 11 points, nine of which have come on the power play, through just 10 games this campaign.

Fox (lower body) was placed on the long-term injured reserve list Friday, per Dan Rosen of NHL.com.

Fox was injured by what appeared to be a knee-on-knee collision with Sebastian Aho during Thursday’s 2-1 loss to Carolina. Putting Fox on LTIR means he’s ineligible to return before Nov. 29 versus Detroit. The 25-year-old defenseman has three goals and 11 points in 10 contests this year. Zac Jones will likely play regularly during Fox’s absence, and Erik Gustafsson might move up to the top power-play unit.

Fox sustained a lower-body injury in Thursday’s game versus the Hurricanes and won’t return.

Fox got the worst of a collision with Sebastian Aho, which appeared to be a knee-on-knee situation. With Fox out of Thursday’s game, Erik Gustafsson will handle the bulk of the power-play duties. The Rangers‘ next game is Saturday in Minnesota.
