Allina Health appoints top nursing executive – Twin Cities

Allina Health, a Minneapolis-based metrowide chain of hospitals and clinics, welcomes Dr. D’Andre Carpenter as the health system’s new senior vice president, system chief nursing executive. Carpenter most recently served as senior vice president, chief system nursing officer for Iowa-based UnityPoint Health.

Minneapolis-based advertising and branding agency MONO announced that entrepreneur Jake Webb and his company Thrift MRKT are the recipients of the firm’s Brand-In-Residence Accelerator program. Thrift MRKT is an e-commerce platform for buyers and sellers in the resale e-commerce market. With MONO’s Brand-In-Residence program, Webb and his employees receive mentorship, access to agency leaders and other business leaders, as well as the use of MONO’s office space and accompanying resources.

MSR Design, a Minneapolis architecture firm, announced it won both 2023 AIA Minnesota Honor Awards given out this year: for the renovation and expansion to L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library in Eau Claire, Wis.; and RIDC’s Mill 19 adaptive reuse project in Pittsburgh.

Children’s Minnesota, a Twin Cities-based chain of hospitals and clinics focused on pediatric care, announced that Dr. Tom George, system medical director of neonatology, has been named the organization’s first holder of the Sit Investment Associates Chair in Neonatology following a $2 million gift from the Minneapolis-based investment firm.

Beer brand Coors Light announced that Minneapolis resident Elvis Rivera is one of five Coors Light Líderes winners, receiving a $10,000 grant to support LatinoLEAD, a St. Paul-based Latinx networking group. Coors Light Líderes offers $50,000 annually in five grants to nonprofits across the United States. … The following Minnesota companies all scored 100 on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index: 3M, Best Buy, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, Cargill, Carlson Inc., Ecolab, Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, General Mills, Great River Energy, Honeywell, Hormel, Medtronic, U.S. Bancorp, UnitedHealth Group, and Xcel Energy. NatureWorks, a Plymouth-based maker of polylactic acid biopolymers for use in manufacturing, announced the appointment of Erik Ripple as president and chief executive officer. NatureWorks is a Cargill joint venture.
