Apple iPhone 15 Pro launch event: Apple is all set to host its next iPhone launch at its headquarters in Apple Park, Cupertino. The weather here is a bit nippy with a hint of rain, in stark contrast to 2022 when the area was going through an unprecedented heatwave.
This time, Apple is expected to launch four new iPhones, with the focus clearly being on the Pro model which is expected to push the envelope on pricing as well as premium features with a titanium chassis and a better camera. There will be at least two new Apple Watches also on show. The jury is still out on where there will be a ‘one more thing’ this time and if yes what it would be.
Apple is facing a bit of pressure to sustain its numbers with new challenges emerging in markets like China. While it is second to Samsung in the number of units sold globally it still has the most people phone models across the world and makes more money than the Korean tech giant.

Apple is expected to unveil its iPhone 15 series lineup and new Apple Watches. The event starts Tuesday, September 12, at 10:30 pm IST. You can follow our live blog, or tune in to Apple’s events website and the company’s YouTube channel to watch the live stream.
With the event’s focus primarily on the iPhone, it will be interesting to see what the company does to iterate on its flagship phones this year – especially the high-end Pro devices. This year may be all about smaller but important design refinements. Rumour has it that the top-end iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a luxurious titanium casing, an action button, and a periscope-style camera lens. It is also anticipated to cost more than the last year’s model.
Another big rumour around the new iPhone is the likely introduction of a USB-C charging port instead of the Lightning connector. Last year, Apple said it would “have to comply” with an EU ruling that requires electronic devices like smartphones to use USB-C charging.

Beyond the new iPhone 15 lineup, other possible announcements include a brand new Apple Watch 9 series, an update to the Apple Watch Ultra, an updated AirPods Pro with USB-C connectivity, and perhaps more details about the upcoming Apple Vision Pro headset.
