Apple iPhone 15 series is speculated to pack significant upgrade, which includes the USB Type-C port.
Apple has a long history of launching its newest iPhones in September, just in time to ensure the availability of the latest iPhones for the holiday season. Now, according to a report from 9to5Mac, Apple will continue this tradition and is reported to hold its iPhone 15 launch event on September 13.
Typically, Apple unveils its newest iPhones in the first week of September. This year, however, Apple plans to introduce the iPhone 15 on Wednesday, September 13. Pre-orders for some of these devices are anticipated to commence on Friday, September 15, followed by their availability for purchase a week later on September 22.
Another report from The Information indicates that the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max might encounter delays due to quality control issues related to the new low injection pressure overmolding (LIPO) technology display manufactured by LG. This technology is expected to reduce the bezel size to a significant 1.5mm, down from 2.2mm.

The iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max are reported to be notably superior to their predecessors. They are anticipated to feature a slightly curved titanium frame, thin-bezel displays, a powerful 3nm A17 Bionic chip, and there are speculations that they will be the first iPhones to offer 8 GB of RAM.
Similarly, even the base iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus are expected to receive new displays with Dynamic Island. Furthermore, all four models within the iPhone 15 series are set to incorporate a USB Type-C port, a departure from the Lightning port. However, it’s noted that the faster Thunderbolt and USB 3.2 data transfer capabilities will likely be restricted to the Pro models.
Reports suggest that the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max may come with slightly higher price tags than their predecessors. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus are projected to be priced similarly to the iPhone 14 and the 14 Plus.
