Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist announced Wednesday it has expanded its Kernersville presence with the opening of an orthopaedics and sports medicine facility and a podiatry clinic. Both are located inside The Fitness Center at 861 Old Winston Road.
The orthopaedics and sports medicine facility serves all ages with orthopaedics, sports medicine, hand and shoulder, podiatry, physical therapy, X-ray, MRI and imaging, weight machines and free weights, indoor/outdoor walking track and pool, and personal training.
The facility is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Appointments can be made at 336-716-8091, online or through the myWakeHealth patient portal.
The fitness center is open Mondays through Thursdays from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Fridays from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon until 6 p.m.
In October 2022, Baptist opened a 24-hour urgent-care clinic in Kernersville at 111 Gateway Center Drive. That clinic provides adult and pediatric urgent-care services, along with on-site X-rays and a separate waiting area for pediatric patients. Appointments are not required and walk-in patients are accepted.
Baptist also has opened a second Forsyth County occupational medicine clinic next door to the urgent care clinic at 109 Gateway Center Drive.
