In a significant development concerning the investigation into the attack on Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) made three arrests on Monday. The individuals taken into custody have been identified as Didar Baksh Molla, Faruk Akunji, and Jiaudddin Molla, who serves as the Panchayat Pradhan of Sarberia Panchayat.

India achieved a significant milestone by conducting the inaugural flight test of the indigenous Agni-5 missile equipped with multiple independently targetable re-entry vehicles (MIRV) as part of its ‘Mission Divyastra’. With this successful test, India joins a select group of nations possessing this advanced capability.

In a setback to the State Bank of India, a Constitution bench of the Supreme Court on Monday dismissed its miscellaneous application seeking an extension of the March 6 deadline set by the top court through its order on February 15. A five-judge Constitution bench led by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud said that the provisions of the electoral bonds scheme itself mandate disclosure when sought by the court making the SBI’s appeal for time “unwarranted”.
