Popular boy band BTS’ member Kim Namjoon aka RM took to his Instagram handle and surprised his fans with a special picture. On Saturday, RM shared a military update and shared a picture featuring himself alongside his military comrades. They were seen posing together for a group photo.
RM also left fans confused after he archived all content on his secondary IG account, sparking speculation among fans about his upcoming plans. RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook started military training in December 2023 after beginning the enlistment process in November. Jin enlisted in 2022, followed by J-Hope in April, and Suga in September 2023.
A few days ago, a picture of him in a red military band uniform, holding a saxophone, went viral. This ceremony is only for soldiers’ close family members or friends who have been pre-registered. The caption of the picture read, “I received a photo of Nam-joon (better known as RM) from an acquaintance who attended the military’s basic training completion ceremony.”

In January, RM and V finished five weeks of basic training at the Korea Army Training Center in Nonsan. After training, RM was stationed in Gangwon Province and later selected to join the unit’s military band.
Ahead of his enlistment, RM made fans emotional as he talked about the big reunion in 2025. He said on Weverse, “Eventually, when we get back and reunite in 2025, (we will) be back for sure. We’ll be joining together again. And that will be in 2025. Even though we’re doing solo activities on our own, I’m just thinking about how all this is just like a vacation. It is a very important journey for chapter two, but it’s a journey to get back home safely, as we return to where we were, which was BTS and ARMY.”
