Bub B announces Drake as guest for his ‘All American Takeover’

Drake will be joining the all-star lineup that includes Eve, Ying Yang Twins among others.

Bun B has announced the eighth artist to join him on stage during his “All American Takeover” concert at the 2024 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. And it’s a big one.

Drake will be joining the all-star lineup that already includes many notable names. The hip-hop superstar even dropped by Bun B’s Trill Burgers restaurant Friday morning.

On his social media post, Bun B said, “If you’re reading this….it’s too late!”

He wasn’t kidding. The concert was already sold out and now ticket prices are soaring on resale sites.  We saw lower-level seats selling for $7,622 each! Seriously. The cheapest we found was $219 in the nosebleed seats. That’s nearly nine times the face value.

If you do buy tickets, HLSR officials recommend getting them through AXS via rodeohouston.com to make sure you don’t get scammed.

On Thursday, Bun B announced on Great Day Houston that Eve will perform, but he also teased one last addition after that.

Here is who Bun B has on deck so far:

  • Drake
  • Nelly
  • E-40
  • Too Short
  • Rick Ross
  • That Mexican OT
  • Ying Yang Twins
  • Eve

This will be Bun’s third year in a row performing at the Houston Rodeo after two successful shows.

His first show was an “H-Town Takeover” and featured Houston’s greats like Z-Ro, Slim Thug and Paul Wall.

Last year, he put on for the south for his “Southern Takeover” and invited artists such as Big K.R.I.T, David Banner, MJG, Scarface, Big Mike, and Erykah Badu to join him on stage.

Fans expect this year’s show to be his best yet because the possibilities of performers are endless.
