Condor launches direct flights from Frankfurt to Mombasa

A German leisure and vacation airline has launched direct flights from the city of Frankfurt to Mombasa.

Condor has been flying into Kenya for about 20 years now but only as a charter to Mombasa.

Speaking during a meeting with travel agents at a hotel in Nairobi, Condor General Manager for Kenya and Tanzania Lilian Musyoka said the airline seeks to connect East Africa with Germany.

“Condor has been bringing its guests to the world’s most beautiful vacation destinations since 1956,” Musyoka said.

She said the airline under the IATA code DE operates three frequencies from Mombasa to Frankfurt in Germany on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

She noted that departure on Mondays and Wednesdays is 12.05 am while on Saturdays is at 10.50 am with connections into other Europe countries.

Carsten Sasse, the Head of Sales, Global Accounts, and Overseas Markets, noted that the airline has a fleet of over 50 aircraft, flying more than nine million passengers to approximately 90 destinations in Europe, Africa, and America every year.

“Condor has been flying 18 Airbus A330neo long-haul aircraft, which will be followed in 2024 by 41 brand-new short and medium-haul aircraft from the Airbus A32Xneo family,” he stated.
