New Delhi: City of Delhi braces for the highly anticipated ICC World Cup 2023 cricket match between South Africa and Sri Lanka at Arun Jaitley Stadium. To ensure safety and ease of mobility for both the general public and match-goers, the Delhi traffic directory has issued several traffic advisories for October 7, 2023.
Road Restrictions
From 12 noon to 12 midnight on October 7, the following roads will be off-limits:
- Rajghat to Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg
- Jawahar Lal Nehru Marg from Kamla Market to Rajghat
- Asaf Ali Road from Turkman Gate to Delhi Gate
- Bahadurshah Zafar Marg from Ramcharan Agarwal Chowk to Delhi Gate

Stadium Entry Points
For those attending the match:
- Gates 1 to 7 are accessible from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg on the southern side of the stadium.
- Gates 8 to 15 can be approached from Jawaharlal Nehru Marg next to Ambedkar Stadium Bus Terminal.
- Gates 16 to 18 are open from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg near the Petrol Pump on the western side.
Parking Advisory
- Limited parking spaces are available within the stadium. A display of car parking labels on the windscreen is crucial, with the vehicle number written on it.
- Cars with valid parking labels can access via Ring Road, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Asaf Ali Road, or Bahadurshah Zafar Marg. Parking lots P1, P3, and P4 are exclusively accessible from Bahadurshah Zafar Marg near the petrol pump.
However, parking will be prohibited on Bahadurshah Zafar Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, and Ring Road from Rajghat to IP flyover on the match day. Non-compliance will lead to towing and legal actions.

Spectators are encouraged to use Park and Ride facilities available at:
- Mata Sundari Parking
- Shanti Van Parking
- Down Velodrome Road
These sites are available for all attendees arriving in personal vehicles.
