Delta is preparing for the winter holidays with new routes to Florida | Thestreet

It seems hard to think about warming up for the end-of-year holiday season right now with record-high temperatures plaguing some of the most popular vacation destinations across the world. But Delta Airlines  (DAL) – Get Free Report is already preparing for the winter season by adding some new flights to its usual season itinerary.

Beginning November 10. the team at Delta will add two new warm-weather destinations to New York’s Westchester County Airport. The two new flights will land in Orlando and West Palm Beach, both stops in Florida.

Delta customers can now book a seat on one of Delta’s Boeing 717 planes for a 7:15 am flight to Orlando or a leisurely 3:00 pm flight to West Palm Beach. These are just two of Delta’s recently announced flight routes coming in 2024.

Many of the airline’s newly scheduled flights will be to warm-weather vacation spots, it looks like. This includes locations in Latin America and the Caribbean.

But the airline isn’t just eyeballing beachfront destinations for expanded service. Delta is one of several airlines preparing for an influx of U.S. passengers looking to explore Europe in the coming year. 

These other added routes will launch in January 2024. Delta said in a statement the new routes will create “a crucial gateway to the U.S. for customers, providing them with seamless onward connections to as many as 100 U.S. cities through Delta’s largest hub in Atlanta.”
