Hyderabad: Top institutes are now offering advanced certificate courses like drone innovations, deep learning, and power sector regulation, among others, helping students and employees upskill.
Institutes such as IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and NITs (National Institute of Technology), among others, are offering these courses primarily in the online mode with live interactive classes and self-paced learning options.
“We have introduced one-of-its-kind eMasters degree programmes tailored to the growth occurring in the emerging fields of Data Science, FinTech, and Power,” a release from IIT, Kanpur stated.

Yogi to tech institutes: Start new-age courses
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh has called on technical institutions to update their curriculum and introduce new-age courses to contribute to nation-building and public welfare. Anna University in Chennai plans to introduce courses in emerging areas such as AI, IoT, ML, data science, and virtual reality. These courses will be open electives for third-year students in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and other branches. The university aims to prepare students for future industry needs and increase their placement opportunities. Additionally, the university plans to introduce a mandatory experiential learning course for computer science engineering, IT, and electronics and communication engineering students. These initiatives are expected to improve campus placement and increase admissions in core engineering branches.
