Fire destroys home in Westmoreland County

A fire destroyed a home in Hempfield Township, Westmoreland County, on Friday morning.The fire was first reported a little after 2 a.m. at a house on Middletown Road.Westmoreland County 911 said multiple companies were responding to the scene.A neighbor told Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that home had been undergoing remodeling but no one was living inside at the time. It was not immediately clear if there were any injuries.The state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
