Flutter has announced it has become the latest member of WiHTL, the Collaboration Community devoted to increasing diversity and inclusion in the hospitality, travel and leisure industry (HTL). The company will also sponsor WiHTL’s Women Non-Executive Director (NED) Programme and its CFO, Paul Edgecliffe-Johnson, will become a founding member of WiHTL’s CFO Committee.
Flutter has over 23,000 colleagues based in offices across five continents and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive working environment, which reflects the communities it serves. As part of its Global Advocacy Programme and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy, both led by its Executive Committee, the company is focused on understanding the lived experiences of colleagues, particularly those from marginalised communities, and championing diversity to deliver meaningful change across the Group.
In addition to becoming members of WiHTL, Flutter is also sponsoring the WiHTL Women NED programme, which is a unique programme specifically designed to prepare female senior leaders for non-executive roles. It provides the necessary training and support to ensure women are considered for such roles, while equipping them with the skills to add strategic value in the boardroom. As part of the programme, delegates learn how to identify their key attributes, build their peer network, understand the responsibilities of a board role, and prepare effectively for NED-level interviews.

Additionally, Paul will become a founding member of WiHTL’s new CFO Committee, which will focus on increasing diversity and inclusion within the finance function. This Committee will be comprised of CFOs from across the HTL sector that will share best practice, monitor progress, and devise solutions to nurture diverse talent within finance, helping businesses create positive, inclusive working environments.
