Journey into bookmaking: ART 321’s workshop for travel enthusiasts in Casper

CASPER, Wyo. — ART 321 is set to host a one-of-a-kind workshop on Nov. 17, inviting Casper residents to explore the world of bookmaking. This event, tailored for travel enthusiasts and craft lovers, promises to be a gateway to creativity and storytelling.

The workshop, running from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at ART 321, 321 W. Midwest Ave., offers a hands-on experience in creating travel-inspired handmade books.

Under the expert guidance of Cathleen Willie, participants will learn various bookbinding techniques and how to choose materials that echo their wanderlust.

The workshop is geared toward everyone, regardless of experience, and is priced at $45 for members and $55 for non-members.

It’s a unique opportunity to create personal travel journals or distinctive gifts for fellow adventurers. One participant is even planning to use the book to document his journey as a father, according to ART 321 Board Chair Jennifer Deurloo.

Temporary Changes in Operating Hours

ART 321 is currently undergoing a transition, leading to temporary changes in operating hours. The gallery is open before the event today until 5 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 4 p.m. The organization will announce regular business hours after Thanksgiving, according to Deurloo.
