Kansas City business leaders are urging the renewal of the sports stadium sales tax, saying that small businesses would be hurt if the tax is not renewed. Jason Carter-Solomon, a commercial banker, believes that a downtown stadium in Kansas City will create synergy, allowing for better economic activity and more dollars for small businesses. “Right now we are losing out on a lot of economic activity dollars with regard to the 80 games a year that are played at Kauffman Stadium,” Carter-Solomon said.
