When Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan appeared in the film Mahanati, they didn’t share a single frame together. However, the two have now collaborated for something special. No, it’s not for a movie, but for a promotional video for their films.

Vijay Deverakonda is awaiting the release of his romantic comedy Kushi , Dulquer Salmaan awaits the release of King Of Kotha. While King Of Kotha will release on August 24, Kushi will hit screens on September 1. So when the duo sat down to talk, they exchanged views on their films. The fun part of the video was when Vijay Deverakonda took a dig at his own film.

The fun banter

Vijay looked at Dulquer and said, “You’re coming from a love story to an action film.’ To which, Dulquer replied, “And you are coming from an action film to a love story.” The Liger actor jokingly said, “I hope you’re action film does better than mine. It better does.” Then the two break into laughter.

About King Of Kotha

Said to be Dulquer Salmaan’s dream project, King Of Kotha is said to have a massive release in Kerala and other parts of India. This action entertainer will be released in more than 500 theatre screens in Kerala.

Helmed by debutant Abhilash Joshiy, King of Kotha is touted to be an action drama that is set in an imaginary place named Kotha. Shammi Thilakan is said to play Dulquer’s father in the movie. Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the female lead. Other members of the cast include actors Shabir Kallarakkal, Prasanna , Chemban Vinod , Shanthi Krishna , and Anikha Surendran . Zee Studios and Dulquer’s production house, Wayfarer Films have produced the film.

About Kushi

Directed by Shiva Nirvana , the film marks Samantha and Vijay’s reunion after their appearance in the 2018 National Award-winning film Mahanati.

Kushi is a romantic drama that explores the dynamics of a couple after they begin living together. Apart from Samantha and Vijay Deverakonda, the film also stars Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Murali Sharma, Vennela Kishore, Lakshmi, Rohini, Ali, Rahul Ramakrishna, and others in supporting roles.
