The roads remain closed today as the roadworks continue until the early hours of Monday morning. Traffic monitoring service Inrix said the M4 eastbound was currently closed at Brynglass Tunnels, between Junction 26 A4051 (Malpas Road) and Junction 25 B4596 (Caerleon). Congestion is currently to Junction 27 (Highcross).

Meanwhile, the A465 Heads Of The Valleys Road remains closed between the A470 (Cefn Coed Roundabout) and High Street (Dowlais Top Roundabout). You can get more story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.
