M4 congestion warning

Traffic Wales is warning of congestion on the M4 this morning.

It is particularly bad eastbound from junction 28 Tredegar Park to junction 23A Magor. No accidents or incidents to report but they do say to allow additional time for your journey

Rules around 20mph change from today

From today, the number of roads being checked for drivers exceeding Wales’ default 20mph limit will go up.

The rule change comes as the latest figures show that the number of people being caught almost trebled in February, compared to the month before. Read more here.

Met Office forecast for Monday

Sunny spells developing after a cloudy start and feeling warm. Here is the full forecast for Wales today:

A cloudy and damp start in the east on Monday, but it will soon turn brighter with sunny spells for most. Skies turning hazy from the west by late afternoon. Feeling pleasantly warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Early clear spells in the east. Becoming increasingly cloudy with outbreaks rain and drizzle reaching Wales later this evening, heralding a damp night. Becoming windy particularly near Irish Sea coasts. Minimum temperature 9 °C.
