Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Schedule Set for 2023

PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph’s men’s and women’s cross country team released the 2023 schedule, announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Mike Glavin announced the Hawks are participating in six events prior to the A-10 Championships, being held this year in Cedarville, Ohio.
 
The Crimson and Gray begin the 2023 pursuit with one of three potential trips to Bethlehem, opening with the Lehigh Invitational on September 1. A two-week break sees the Hawks travel to New York to take part in the Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions, hosted by Iona on September 15. The following day, a contingent of Hawks are set to take part of the Stockton Osprey Invitational in Galloway, N.J.
 
SJU then spends the next two weeks preparing for the annual Paul Short Run, the second visit to Bethlehem as the Hawks return to the premier event. Another return to Van Cortlandt Park in New York plays host to the IC4A/ECAC Championships beginning on October 13.
 
With one last chance to impress, the Haverford Season Ender awaits on Thursday, October 26 before St. Joe’s are set to take part in the conference championships. Hosted by Dayton, the Hawks head to the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course on October 28 to look to challenge the rest of the conference field.
 
On November 10, Lehigh hosts their third event of the season with the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships. Qualified participants will participate in the NCAA Championships, hosted by Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. on November 18.
