Baltimore police said they are investigating an active shooter situation at Morgan State University’s campus.They are asking everyone in the area of the 1700 block of Argonne Drive to shelter in place. Police told 11 News at least four students were shot and are suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. The alleged shooter fled into a dorm building, police said, and they are working to clear the dorm and apprehend the suspect.Morgan State officials said they are investigating reports of shots fired, but were unable to provide further information.BPD and Morgan State officials are asking concerned family members to avoid the campus area. They can report to the Safeway parking lot at 4401 Harford Rd. A BPD officer will be available at that location.The school said people should stay clear of the area surrounding Thurgood Marshall Hall and the Murphy Fine Arts Center and shelter in place.Students said Tuesday night was the coronation of Miss and Mr. Morgan State University, a popular event that takes place each year during homecoming week.
