Nebraska volleyball NIL coffers rise after 1890 Initiative signs $5 million deal

LINCOLN — Nebraska’s volleyball name, image and likeness collective signed a 10-year, $5 million deal this week with the people behind the Nebraska Crossing shopping district.

JUSTDATA, a fintech company, announced on Wednesday that it is partnering with Initiative 1890 – NU’s top NIL collective – to benefit Husker volleyball players. JUSTDATA partnered with Nebraska Crossing in 2013 to revamp the shopping industry just outside of Gretna, and also partnered with former NFL quarterback Drew Brees. According to the press release, Purdue Volleyball is also working with JUSTDATA.

“Thank you to the Nebraska Crossing team for this generous donation to 1890 in support of Husker Volleyball,” coach John Cook said in the press release. “Your vision for NIL is a game-changer for Husker Volleyball and will propel our program for years to come.”
