Several roads in northern New Mexico have been closed due to blizzard conditions. New Mexico State Police have closed Interstate 25 at the Raton pass due to white out conditions. U.S. Highway 56 from Springer to Clayton has been closed due to blizzard conditionsSevere driving conditions with blowing snow and low visibility have also been reported in the city of Raton and in Clayton. Interstate 40 has been closed east of Santa Rosa and west of Tucumcari due to multiple accidents along with snow packed and icy conditions.A blizzard warning is in effect for the area through the day on Monday for blowing snow and strong winds.
