Gardner was also served with a warrant out of Moore County for felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after break/enter, and felony possession of stolen goods. On Aug. 9, the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office responded to Seagrove Plank Road, Asheboro, in reference to a suspected breaking and entering.

Upon arrival, deputies encountered the homeowner, who said the intruder had come into their residence through an unlocked door. The homeowner confronted the intruder, Justin Gardner, who said his car had run out of gas nearby.

The homeowner charged at Gardner, who ran away.

Deputies found the vehicle Gardner was driving while searching the area.

They made contact with the owner of the car, who revealed Gardner as the driver, as well as his place of residence.

On Aug. 10, Gardner, 32, was located, arrested and taken into custody at the Randolph County Detention Center.

Gardner was also served with a warrant out of Moore County for felony breaking and entering, felony larceny after break/enter, and felony possession of stolen goods.

His total secured bond is set at $30,000, and his first appearance was set for Aug. 11.
