Initially, a Reddit user in China spotted the February ColorOS update, as reported by Mishaal Rahman on X. Initially believed to be specific to the OnePlus 11, a post on OnePlus’ community forums in China revealed that the update is also available for the OnePlus 12.
A notable aspect of the February ColorOS update is the addition of several AI-powered features, a departure from the OnePlus 12 series’ initial focus. In contrast, competitors like Google and Samsung showcased prominent AI features, such as Circle to Search, in their latest smartphone offerings.
Among the new features introduced is the AI Call Summarizer, a functionality that enables OnePlus devices to assist users during phone calls. This feature listens to phone conversations and provides summarized versions for quick reference. Particularly useful for situations requiring note-taking, the AI Call Summarizer can extract essential information like instructions, addresses, names, or phone numbers from the conversation, according to the changelog.
Additionally, OnePlus introduces an AIGC Remover, similar to a Magic Eraser, allowing users to eliminate unwanted individuals or objects from photos using AI technology, a feature seen in other smartphones.

The OnePlus 11 devices are set to receive the update with build PHB110_14.0.0.403(CN01), while the OnePlus 12 phones will be updated with build PJD110_14.0.0.405(CN01). The rollout has commenced for eligible devices in China, but it remains unclear when these AI features will be made available on a global scale.
