Tennis Caps Fall Season at Big 12 Individual Championships

WACO, Texas – The University of Houston Tennis program concluded its fall season earning nine wins at the Big 12 Individual Championships at the Hurd Tennis Center this weekend.

Sophomore Sophie Schouten and freshman Nina Skoric each picked up a pair of singles wins, while senior Laura Slisane capped the weekend with a singles victory of her own.

Junior Maria Dzemeshkevich and Slisane teamed up to capture two of Houston’s four doubles wins. Doubles pairs Blanca Cortijo Parreno and Gabriela Cortes along with Sonya Kovalenko and Schouten each earned a win on the weekend.
