Uellbee, a Mexican fintech dedicated to improving the financial health of its clients, launched “Energize your Bureau” to help individuals improve their credit scores.
The new product is a credit builder, which offers a personalized program through customized advice to improve the user’s credit history.
“The client assumes a monthly commitment to pay a loan that remains deposited as collateral in a regulated financial institution; as the client makes the periodic payments, the credit history improves,” said Mario Gamboa, co-founder of Uellbee.
Uellbee plans to offer savings and investment options in the future, looking to become a full-service neobank that can improve financial access for Mexicans, as 36% of the population doesn’t have access to credit due to poor credit ratings.
