According to the agency, the first crew reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the salvage and repair yard, where several semi trucks and other scrap metal were ablaze.

Firefighting crews had to deploy multiple hose lines to fight the flames. The fire was put out in about 30 minutes, but firefighters are still on the scene monitoring the situation in case the blaze reignites, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue said.

There were no injuries to civilians or first responders. According to the release, the cause of the fire was “related to sparks from metalwork igniting dry brush that spread to a tire of one of the trailers. Workers on the scene attempted to extinguish the tire but could not, which yielded their call to 911.”
