Karnataka Bandh on September 29 LIVE Updates: There will be another complete shutdown in Karnataka or ‘Karnataka Bandh’ on Friday, September 29. This decision has been made by various groups, including the Federation of Farmers’ Associations, the Federation of Pro-Kannada Organizations, the Cauvery Jala Samrakshana Samiti, and the Organization for the Bengaluru Resident Welfare Associations. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah held discussions with a group of protesting farmers, addressing the contentious matter of Cauvery water.
In the latest update, Karnataka has decided to challenge the Cauvery Panel’s direction to release water to Tamil Nadu. “We do not have water to give,” CM Siddaramaiah said on Wednesday. The Karnataka Bandh will be the second Bndh this week. Before this, a partial ‘Bengaluru Bandh’ took place from 6 a.m to 6p.m on Tuesday.
