3 injured, including firefighter, during downtown Falmouth fire

Three people, including a firefighter, were injured during a fire that burned through apartments in downtown Falmouth that are situated above multiple businesses in the Massachusetts town. Falmouth police said Monday night that firefighters were working to extinguish a fire at 176 Main St., the listed address for a Sea Bags store.Photos and video of the scene appear to show heavy flames shooting from a second floor above the Twigs of Falmouth gift shop, which is next door to Sea Bags on Main Street/Route 28.As of 7 p.m., those large flames appeared to have been knocked down.Fire Chief Timothy Smith said two civilians were transported to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries.According to Smith, the injured firefighter was treated for a minor injury.Smith said a handful of apartments on the second floor were damaged by the fire.
