Akshay Kumar, Twinkle Khanna and Preity Zinta celebrated Diwali with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Bollywood celebrities Akshay Kumar, his wife and former actor Twinkle Khanna and actor Preity Zinta celebrated Diwali this year with the British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at his official residence in London. Akshay and Twinkle had previously wished their fans on social media but did not share any photos from the celebration. On Wednesday, Preity took to social media and shared photos from the celebration.

She wrote in the caption, “What an incredible Diwali this has been. A heartfelt thank you 🙏 to Prime Minister @rishisunakmp & his gracious wife @akshatamurty_official for inviting me to be part of this year’s Diwali celebration at Downing Street. It was an honour to celebrate Diwali with him and the people from the Hindu community in the Uk 🙏 #gratitude #diwali #ting 🪔.”

Rishi Sunak had previously shared photos of his family lighting diyas outside 10 Downing Street. He captioned the photos, “A special moment for me to be celebrating Diwali with my family on the steps of No.10. Happy Diwali to everyone celebrating here in the UK and around the world!”

Akshay Kumar was last seen in the film Mission Raniganj. The past couple of years have seen Akshay star in a string of flops at the box office. His last big hit, which had him in the lead role, was Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi which released in 2021.

Akshay is now looking forward to the release of Singham Again, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and the Hindi adaptation of the Tamil hit Soorarai Pottru, which starred Suriya in the lead role.
