Amber Alert issued after girl, 3, and mother abducted from Maine

Maine State Police said early Friday morning that a mother and her daughter were found safe after officials said they were abducted Thursday morning.An Amber Alert that was issued Thursday night has been canceled. A 3-year-old and her mother, Norma Rodondi Jimbikt, 35, were abducted from Saco, Maine, at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Maine State Police. >> Download the free WMUR app to get updates on the go: Apple | Google Play <<Maine State Police said the two were forced into a white Ford Explorer with a New York license plate by a man. Police said around 3:40 p.m., the vehicle crossed the tolls into New York state. The Saco Police Department is taking over the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Saco police at 207-284-4535.
