Dom Dolla is up for six ARIAs, something he’s described as “surreal”.
“I was hoping for one maybe,” he told ABC News on the red carpet.
“And then my manager called me and let me know.”
When asked if AI is the future of music, Dom Dolla said, unfortunately, he thinks it’s the future of everything.
“I know that the Screen Actors Guild in the United States has managed to change and negotiate with a lot of the big studios in terms of film.
“So, AI isn’t necessarily going to affect film as much as it was before.
“I’m not sure if we’re able to legislate or change things in the music industry in a similar way.
“I feel like AI is a tool. You’ve just got to learn how to use it. I’m just happy for where we’re at right now. If we could pause things, if we could pause AI progress, I’d be stoked.”
