At least 85 bus drivers have called out for Monday, Nov 6., according to Jefferson County Public Schools officials. School officials say they are proactively canceling 47 bus routes.According to bus drivers, the biggest issues are with student behavior on buses, long routes and a lack of support from the school district.Drivers say the “sickout” has been brewing for months and is directed toward district leaders.JCPS says that after feedback from drivers, the district is changing the student discipline process.Officials are expecting more drivers to call out on Sunday night.
