A coastal storm arriving Sunday means a wet finish to the weekend and start to the day on Monday.

Sunday heavier rain will move into the state by the afternoon, and it will be widespread. High temperatures will reach the upper 50s.

Rain will continue overnight and into Monday morning, and it could be heavy at times. This will likely mean a rainy morning commute.

Showers will continue through the late morning. After that, showers will be more scattered. Temperatures will reach the mid 50s.

In total, parts of Maryland could see over three inches of rain. With heavy rain expected, there is the potential of flooding, so be sure to stay alert.

Following the weather-maker, it will be dry and cool on Tuesday with highs below average in the low 40s.

The rest of the week will be more mild. Highs will return to the upper 40s and low 50s with dry weather expected.
