Beaver Falls SWAT, state police robbery suspect search

State police and other agencies are looking for a suspect in a robbery at Beaver Falls Federal Credit Union Tuesday afternoon.The credit union, located at 601 37th St., was robbed at 12:37 p.m., according to the office of Beaver County District Attorney David Lozier. Lozier confirmed the suspect in this search is wanted for allegedly robbing the credit union.A statement from the district attorney’s office said Derrick Grant, 34, was armed with an aluminum baseball bat. He is described as 5 foot 9 inches and 170 pounds wearing all black with a white face mask.A photo from surveillance showed the suspect had been at the credit union one hour prior.Sky 4 over the scene saw SWAT, state and local police as well as a helicopter out searching for the suspect.Lozier’s office asked the public to report any suspicious individuals or Grant’s known location to the Beaver Falls Police or call 911.
