Bills fans head to London

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Travel went smoothly Wednesday morning as hundreds of Bills fans arrived at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport to begin their journey to London, England.

There are no direct flights from Buffalo to London, but travelers booked flights with connections to get there straight from home.

“We travel for our team. We love our team,” said David Cohen of Niagara Falls.

Cohen went to the last Bills game in London, which was in 2015. He said he hopes to see them take home a win this time.

“We’ve got the best fans in the entire NFL,” he said. “I mean, I know other teams try and claim that, but we travel better than anybody.”

Some fans seized the opportunity to travel abroad not only for the game, but also to celebrate some lifetime milestones, like Linda Casazza, who is celebrating her 60th birthday and sixth decade as a Bills fan.

“Highs and lows, you know? You’re like, you’re almost there. You almost got it. And then you’re always short,” said Casazza. “But always, ‘Go Bills’ right?”

The Bills take on the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday at 9:30 a.m., which is 2:30 p.m. London time.
