Bills sign safety Mike Edwards to one-year deal

The Bills have made an addition to their secondary. Safety Mike Edwards has signed a one-year deal with Buffalo.

Edwards most recently played for Kansas City where he recorded one interception, five passes defensed, two fumble recoveries, one fumble recovery for a touchdown and 51 total tackles in 17 games, including five starts.

The safety also spent 2019-2022 with the Buccaneers and played in 58 games with 23 starts. Over those four seasons, Edwards racked up seven interceptions, three pick-sixes, 21 passes defensed, 184 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, three fumble recoveries and one forced fumble.

He’s a two-time Super Bowl champion, winning Super Bowl LV with the Buccaneers and Super Bowl LVIII with the Chiefs.

Edwards was originally drafted by the Bucs in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at Kentucky and is from Cincinnati, Ohio.
