In Lucknow, District Level Control Room does live monitoring of the 133 examination centres in the district as Uttar Pradesh Board Examinations begin today.

District Inspector of Schools, Rakesh Kumar said, “There are 133 exam centres across the district where High School and Intermediate exams began today. For the supervision and monitoring of all of these centres, zonal magistrate, 13 sector magistrates and one static magistrate at each of the centres have been posted. Static Magistrates are the incharge of strong room. Double-lock almirahs have been arranged and question papers have been kept in it. CCTV surveillance is ongoing at all centres. The live feed can be seen here in the control room. Six flying squads have been constituted. We are alert to ensure that nothing untoward happens.”

PM Modi To Dedicate 2 Reactors At Kakrapar Atomic Power Station In Surat Today: 

During his day-long visit to Gujarat on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate two new Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) with a combined capacity of 1,400 megawatts at Kakrapar Atomic Power Station (KAPS) in Surat district, as well as inaugurate or lay the groundwork for a number of projects, according to news agency PTI.

The new Unit 3 and Unit 4 at KAPS, each capable of producing 700 MW of electricity, were built by the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) at a cost of more than Rs 22,500 crore and are the country’s largest indigenous PHWRs, according to a PIB release.

Rajnath Singh On One-Day Odisha Visit On Thursday: 

Senior BJP leader and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will pay a one-day visit to Odisha on Thursday, where he will address two public meetings and a workers’ meeting, news agency PTI reported citing official sources.

Singh’s visit is part of a tour of Lok Sabha constituencies by senior BJP leaders in preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha and Odisha Assembly elections.

“The defence minister will meet with party functionaries in the Nabarangpur Lok Sabha segment and address two meetings in Berhampur and Baripada,” Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal said.

According to the PTI report, the defence minister is expected to arrive in Nabarangpur from neighbouring Chhattisgarh around 11.40 a.m. on Thursday and will attend workers’ conferences in Nabarangpur and Berhampur to assess the party’s preparedness for the upcoming elections. During his visit to Berhampur, Singh will also meet retired army officials and jawans, as well as party leaders.

Singh will also speak at a public meeting in Baripada, Mayurbhanj district, around 4 PM, the report said.

Puducherry CM To Present Vote On Account In Assembly Today: 

Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, who holds the Finance portfolio, will present a Vote on Account bill in the territorial Assembly on Thursday to allocate funds to government departments for expenditure in the first five months of fiscal year 2024-2025.

The session has been reconvened by Speaker R Selvam and will begin at 9.45 AM, official sources said on Wednesday. The session would be the third and final part of the fifteenth Assembly’s fourth session.

News agency PTI reported citing sources that the chief minister will also present a revised estimate for the current fiscal year (2023-2024) following the vote on accounts. Departments have been asked to submit estimates for expenditure approval.
