The tunnel, situated at an altitude of over 13,000 feet, holds the distinction of being the world’s longest twin-lane tunnel. Later, PM Modi will return to Assam’s Jorhat and will dedicate the ‘Statue of Valour’ in Jorhat, honouring the legendary Ahom general Lachit Barphukan and partake in the inauguration of various central and state government projects totaling around Rs 18,000 crore. These projects encompass critical sectors such as petroleum, railways, and healthcare infrastructure.
