Bucks County Towns Named ‘Most Gorgeous In PA To Visit In The Fall’

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Two Bucks County communities are among the “10 Most Gorgeous Pennsylvania Towns To Visit In The Fall,” according to a listing published by TheTravel.com, an international travel website.

“Pennsylvania is a beautiful destination to visit year-round, but during the fall, the burst of colors on its landscapes makes it more magical,” says the website. “The best way to witness the spectacular change of colors is by visiting the state’s gorgeous towns, where leaf-peepers can take scenic fall drives in Pennsylvania.”

The website ranks Doylestown as number two on its list of the “Most Gorgeous Pennsylvania Towns To Visit In The Fall.” Taking the top spot is Jim Thorpe, the Carbon County seat nestled at the gateway to the Poconos.

“Doylestown is one of the best towns in Pennsylvania in the fall; it’s an idyllic bicycle-friendly town with fascinating museums, historical attractions, and tranquil farms,” says the website. “With a network of 25 miles of trails and sidepaths, travelers enjoy long bike rides as they admire the fall foliage after enjoying a classic breakfast at one of the local restaurants.”

It lists the best attractions in the Doylestown area as the Doylestown Borough Farmer’s Market, the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in New Britain Township, Kids Castle at Central Park in Doylestown Township, and Fonthill Castle and the Mercer Museum, both in Doylestown Borough.

New Hope also made the list, coming in at number 10.

“New Hope is an incredible fall destination, also regarded as one of Pennsylvania’s most beautiful towns. Washington Crossing Historic Park is among the area’s best foliage spots, boasting several scenic trails, wildflower areas, picnic pavilions, and historic sites,” says the website. “Vacationers also take advantage of their visit to stroll down New Hope’s Main Street, lined with boutiques and unique shops. They are excellent spots to shop for unique household items, jewelry, and gifts.”

The website lists New Hope’s top attractions as Washington Crossing Historic Park, Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, the historic Delaware Canal, and New Hope-Lambertville Bridge.

Other towns making the list in Pennsylvania are Bushkill, Honesdale, Bellefonte, Gettysburg, Wellsboro, Ridgway, Kennett Square, and Jim Thorpe.
