  • South Shore Village’s new nine-hole golf course opened October 13 for the late fall.

The course, designed by Ronald Stuart Cutlip, golf course architect, will be routed and sculptured in a “links” style. The golf course routing takes advantage of the natural contours, wetlands, and elevation changes.

The course starts out as a park land/woodland course and then evolves into a links style course as it nears the club house. The site selected for the South Shore Village and Country Club golf course has various offerings, which include sandy loam soils, pine forests slightly rolling contours.

These sandy loam soils are provide foundations for turf quality and drainage. The natural topography has an undulating roll, which is ideal for fairway construction, visual interest, and playability.

A grand opening is planned for May 2024. For more information about the community and golf course, visit southshorevillageri.com.
