The City of Dunkirk Festivals and Special Events Department has announced the top four place winners of their Dunkirk Holiday Parade held Friday evening. Parade sponsors included Special Metals Corp. (title sponsor), New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities, Refresco, The Botox Barn and Wellness and North County Landscaping. The following floats were trophy winners: First place, (plus $50 Visa gift card): Refresco with “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” sponsored by Neff & Aida DeJesus, pictured;; second place, Special Metals Corp. with “Rudolph and the Island of Misfits” sponsored by Refresco; North County Landscaping with “Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town” sponsored by Fun-B-Que; Best of Show: Dunkirk Housing, Building & Zoning Office with “Frozen” sponsored by Southpaw Signs & Stripes. David Rowley, recently retired from WDOE and Kix Country, was the parade grand marshal while We Are 3 rocked the stage in front of city hall.
