Christopher Nolan On His Peloton Instructor’s Dislike Of His Work | Entertainment

Christopher Nolan used his Best Director award speech at the New York Film Critics Circle to reflect on film criticism. The ‘Oppenheimer’ filmmaker shared a humorous anecdote about a Peloton workout class to illustrate the importance of film critics. “I was on my Peloton. I’m dying. And the instructor started talking about one of my films and said, ‘Did anyone see this? That’s a couple hours of my life I’ll never get back again,” Nolan said. Jenn Sherman, the Peloton instructor in question, later took to social media to clarify that she had no idea that Nolan attended her virtual classes. “I may not have understood a minute of what was going on in ‘Tenet’. That went right over my head. But I have seen ‘Oppenheimer’ twice. And that’s six hours of my life that I don’t ever want to give back,” Sherman stated on her social media.
