Oliver’s future recently made headlines, with the possibility of a trade canvassed by rival clubs before Oliver and the club eased tensions after a meeting with coach Simon Goodwin.

Melbourne had become increasingly concerned with the midfielder’s behaviour, which club CEO Gary Pert in a statement confirmed there’d been a commitment towards making improvement towards his professionalism.
