Coventry snow and travel live as Met Office issues ice warning

People in parts of Coventry, Warwickshire and the wider Midlands area are waking up to snow this morning. Snowfall overnight has settled and the Met Office has issued a warning of continuing cold temperatures.

The Met Office is warning of possible disruption to travel until 12pm today with snow and ice forecast. A spokesman said this means:

  • Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
  • Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
  • Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces

The warning is in place for large parts of the Midlands and the North.
