Earthquake near Isleton downgraded to 2.9-magnitude, USGS map shows
An earthquake that struck Monday morning in Sacramento County has been downgraded to a preliminary 2.9-magnitude quake, according to the United States Geological Survey.The quake happened around 7:42 a.m. near Isleton. USGS initially reported its depth as 4.97 miles, but that has since been updated to a depth of 8.1 miles.There were no immediate reports of damage. According to the USGS intensity map, people reported feeling shaking in the Antioch, Oakley and Rio Vista areas. Monday’s quake is the second time in a week that an earthquake has shaken the Isleton area.
