Fans outraged as Pink is forced to cancel show amid shock health news

Pop star Pink cancelled her concert just hours before she was due to take the stage – leaving her fans furious.

The singer who’s on her Summer Carnival tour in the US issued an apology to fans – saying she could no longer perform at her show in Arlington, Texas on Saturday due to a “bad” sinus infection.

However, many fans were less than thrilled about the last-minute news, with many ticketholders voicing their frustration on her Instagram post.

“I get sick happens but sinus infection you knew you were sick much earlier in the day. Disappointed with the late notice. And rescheduling right near Thanksgiving is not good. I won’t be able to make it. Very disappointed,” one upset fan wrote.

“Dang just got here from Oklahoma with my mama,” another said.

“I came all this way to see you, the last-minute notice is disappointing. I’m heartbroken,” another said.

One added: “Are you serious! Not good enough, too late notice.”

While another said: “Got tickets for Christmas and stressed my whole pregnancy hoping I would have my baby in time to make it to the concert… and I just got here from out of state two weeks post partum to find out it’s cancelled.”

However, many of her fans rushed to the singer’s defence.

“Wow! Some hateful comments from some people who claim to be her fans,” one fan began.

“Sinus infections suck! I’m pretty damn miserable when I get them. I get being disappointed for those of you who travelled a long way for the show, but to come on here and blast her just ain’t cool!

“As her supporter and fan, did you want her to be miserable when she performed for you? Does her health not matter to you? Did you stop to think about how guilty she already feels on top of being sick as hell?

“You guys know she cares deeply about her fans. Knowing the kind of person Pink is, I know good and well the last thing she would ever want to do is cancel one of her shows.”

Another fan wrote: “When you are the biggest star in music who flings herself across massive stadiums to entertain us folks who adore you, you’re bound to be human and get sick now and then… please feel better soon.”

“Hope everything is okay Pink,” added a third.

While another said: “If you know you know. Pink never cancels unless she’s deathly ill. Never. For those saying we just found out. Yes. That’s 100 per cent due to the fact that she waited until the very last moment to try to perform.

“Letting fans down is the last thing she wants. If you watched her throughout the years, this should be more than evident. If you can’t make the new date, I guarantee you can sell your ticket and make some of your losses back. It’s not ideal, but there is no winning in this business. She’s only human.”

The comments come after Pink penned a statement to apologise to fans for cancelling her show.

“Hi everyone. I’m sorry to report that I have come down with a bad sinus infection, and the doctor advised me not to perform tonight,” she wrote in an Instagram statement on Saturday.

“I am so disappointed.

“You know I do everything in my power to never miss a show.”

Pink told followers that she was rescheduling the concert at Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX for Sunday, November 26.

“All tickets will be honoured, and it will be a phenomenal show.

“I hope to see you then, and again, am so deeply sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.

“It is never my intention. Sending you all love.”
