Fujifilm India on Thursday announced the launch of its Instax Mini 99 instant camera, which is the latest addition to the company’s lineup of Instax analog instant cameras that spit out a physical print of images immediately after they are taken.

“Aligned with our Group Philosophy of Giving our World More Smiles’, we are thrilled to welcome INSTAX MINI 99 to India as our first launch since unveiling of our new group philosophy. We are excited to witness the joyful opportunities that this new product will capture and continue to give smiles to our users and memories to cherish. Truly an embodiment of our group purpose – We hope and believe that this product will spread more smiles in our world,” said Koji Wada, Managing Director Fujifilm India, in a press statement.

The company is positioning the Instax Mini 99 as an evolved version of the successful Instax Mini 90. New features include functions like “Color Effect Control,” which can apply lights of different colours directly to film to produce six different colour expression. It also comes with a Vignette Mode that will reduce the exposure around the edges to bring focus to the centre of each picture.

The new Color Effect Control and Vignette Mode functions can be combined with Brightness Control using a dial on the side of the camera body to get more permutations and combinations of print expressions. The new camera also inherits many of the functions of its predecessor, including Landscape, Macro, Indoor and Sports mode as well as Self timer, Bulb and Double Exposure modes.

The Fujifilm Instax 99 will cost Rs 20,999 at launch on April 4 and will be available on Instax.com, Amazon, Flipkart, and other online retailers as well as through leading brick and mortar stores.
