MARYLAND – The Maryland Department of Health has announced a new community input survey aimed at identifying the health needs of Marylanders and their communities.
The results of the new Building a Healthier Maryland survey will be used to address important health priorities over the next few years, the Department says. Questions in the survey will focus on healthcare issues across different communities and include healthcare accessibility and inequalities. The Department says knowing how healthcare impacts different communities will help them better target care and create equity.
“We want all Marylanders to make their voices heard so please share your thoughts by completing the community survey,” said Maryland Department of Health Secretary Laura Herrera Scott. “We need a wide range of input from residents to help the State address our most pressing health needs.”
Survey respondents must be at least 18 and be Maryland residents. The survey takes about 5-10 minutes, the Department says, and can be found at this link. Responses to the survey will remain anonymous. The deadline to respond to the survey is January 4th, 2024.
